Last summer, swimmers were evacuated from Mullaloo Beach and it remained closed for days due to a severe algae bloom. Nearly a year later, despite Mullaloo’s reputation for crystal-clear waters, we still have no answers or a plan to restore water quality.

Meanwhile, outfall pipes from the Beenyup Wastewater Treatment Plant—just 1.6 km offshore—continue to discharge visibly discoloured water, raising serious concerns about its impact on our marine environment and beautiful beach.

That’s why I have joined forces with Michael Dudek (Liberal for Joondalup), in fighting for full transparency from the State Government, as well as urgent, long-term solutions — like necessary upgrades to the Beenyup Wastewater Treatment Plant, and a monitoring buoy sending real-time data about the water quality to a website available to the community.

It is time for action, and we need your help to make this happen! Watch our video, share our message, and sign the petition. Together, we can ensure that we protect Mullaloo Beach and our coastal environment for the generations to come.
