For over two decades, the Rockingham community, along with key stakeholders and business leaders, have been calling for the development of a marina in Rockingham.

 

A marina is essential infrastructure that will unlock substantial economic growth, elevate local tourism, and generate much-needed jobs for our region.

 

Despite The Port Rockingham Marina Development being backed by private investors and widespread community support, the State Government has yet to respond formally to this project.

 

Over $6 million has already been invested in leases, environmental studies, traffic surveys, development approvals, and legal and accounting fees—all the groundwork is complete, and the applicant and community are ready for the next step. The Port Rockingham Marina is good to go.

 

We ask: Why won’t the state government approve this project, which has the potential to transform Rockingham and deliver long-term benefits for our community?
