We all lead busy lives, but spending time with family and friends is so important. That’s why I want to see high quality local parks and recreation facilities that provide great places for friends and families to meet and to keep active.

Nestled in the heart of Joondalup, Neil Hawkins Park is more than just green space - it’s a vital hub for our community. Families, cyclists, runners and residents flock to this regional park for recreation and to connect with others. But after three decades of use, the park’s infrastructure needs renewal.

I am fighting to secure the park’s future as a destination play-space.

 

I will work to add Federal funding alongside the City of Joondalup’s investment for:

• An exciting play-space to draw families from across Joondalup, Edgewater and beyond

• New all-abilities play equipment

• Barbeque facilities

• Family friendly picnic areas

• Improved landscaping, signage and lighting
