I’m fighting to upgrade Lathlain Park and construct a new state-of-the-art grandstand to reflect the importance of women’s and men’s footy in Swan - the home of WA football. 

 

Lathlain Park is the home for the West Coast Eagles men’s and women’s teams, as well as the Perth Demons. Built in 1959, Lathlain Park no longer meets the needs of a modern club - especially for women’s AFL. Creating a gender equitable high performance training facility will also importantly establish a pathway from juniors to the elite level. 

 

I’m fighting to upgrade the facilities at Lathlain Park, including upgrading and constructing: 

• Women’s change rooms 

• Multi-purpose community spaces 

• Function facilities and members’ area 

• New state of the art grandstand 

 

Women’s sport is thriving in Swan—let’s make Lathlain Park a place where all athletes can compete at their best.
